Penny Cloud

Screens that keep working when nobody is there

Penny Cloud turns an ordinary Android tablet, display or card terminal into a menu board, a self-service checkout, a feedback point or an order screen. Scan the QR code on the box and it runs.

From one location to two hundred, every screen in one dashboard.

Live in a day. Fixed price per screen per month. Cancel monthly.

Any Android device

From a low-end tablet to an 86-inch display or a card terminal. If it runs Android, it runs our Penny app.

No overhead

No licenses, no antivirus, no patch weekends, no machine that needs a reboot at opening time or peak hour.

Swap it

If a device fails, a courier brings the replacement. Scan the unique QR code and it picks up where the old one left off.

What it does

Four things a screen can be

Pick one per device, change it whenever you want. The same tablet can be a menu board today, a feedback point tomorrow, and even both at different times of day.

Penny Pay

Unattended payments

Let people order, pay or donate on their own through a connected card terminal. No queue, no cashier, no volunteer holding a collection tin.

Penny Display

Digital signage

Schedule images, video and web content to any screen and update every location remotely in seconds.

Penny Pulse

Guest feedback

One tap to rate the visit. You see the results live and unhappy guests reach you directly instead of Google.

Penny Queue

Order and job status

Call the next number, or show that an order is ready. In a kitchen, at a counter, or in a waiting room. On a tablet, not on a two-thousand-euro terminal.

One platform, on every screen

The platform

All your screens in one dashboard

The central dashboard is where you see and control the entire fleet. One location or two hundred.

It is ready the moment your first screen comes online, and it needs no integrations, no server and no installation.

Why we built it

It started at six in the morning, at a charity fundraiser.

Volunteers were only collecting donations during office hours. There was no way to give by card early or late in the evening, and the ATMs were not accessible, so the donations simply did not happen.

The hardware to accept a contactless payment is affordable. What was missing was software that could put it on a screen, run it unattended, remotely change content where needed and keep it working from a distance.

That is what Penny Cloud does. It started with donations, and it turned out that a food truck, an estate agent's window and a church all want the same thing: a screen that does its job when nobody is standing next to it.

FAQ

Questions we get asked

Is Penny Cloud a content management system?

Yes. Penny Cloud is a full content management system for screens: upload images, video and web content, organise it into playlists and schedules, and publish to one screen or every location at once. It also manages the devices themselves, your product catalogue with prices and VAT, and the payments taken on those screens. So it is a CMS, and three other things besides.

Does Penny Cloud run on screens I already have?

If the screen or the media player behind it runs Android, yes. Scan a QR code and it joins your fleet. Screens running Windows, Tizen or webOS are not supported today. If you already own a fleet of those, tell us what you have, because that is what shapes our roadmap.

Do I have to replace my cash register?

No. Penny Cloud handles the sales nobody is standing behind: a self-service point, a donation terminal, an order screen. Your staffed checkout stays exactly as it is. Plenty of customers run both side by side.

Who provides the payment terminal?

Either you or we do. If you already have a suitable terminal we connect to it. If not, we supply one configured and ready to run. Card payments are settled by the payment provider, and we walk you through exactly what that costs before you commit to anything.

What happens if a device stops working?

A courier brings a replacement. You scan the QR code on the new device and it picks up where the old one left off: same content, same settings, same location. No engineer, no site visit, no afternoon of downtime.

Do I need an installer?

No. We image the device before it ships and put a QR code on the box. Scanning that code is the installation. Most customers are live the same day the box arrives.

Can I start with one screen?

Yes. A fixed monthly rate, cancel monthly, no setup fee. Most customers start with one screen where it hurts most and add the rest once they have seen it work.

Is Penny Cloud only for hospitality?

No. It started with donations at a charity event. Today it runs shop windows, waiting rooms, sports club canteens, churches, food trucks and unattended locations like campsites and farm shops. Anywhere a screen has to do its job without someone standing next to it.

Where is my data stored?

In the Netherlands and the wider EU. Penny Cloud is built to be GDPR-ready, guest feedback is collected anonymously, and we do not sell or share your data.

Can I run Penny Cloud under my own brand?

Yes. Managed service providers, integrators and hardware suppliers get their own tenant, with their own branding and their own customers underneath it. You keep the customer relationship and first-line support. We keep the platform running.

About us

Built by Penny

Penny is a Dutch company that builds software for the screens in front of your customers. Signage, self-service, payments, feedback and order status, all running on ordinary Android devices and all managed from one dashboard.

We do not build enclosures and we do not run a showroom. We turn a device you can buy anywhere into a screen that earns its keep, and we keep it working from a distance. Set it up in an afternoon, trust it to run all day.
